Clay is offered frequently in the Kimberley  and Coral Rooms . The children love to explore, squeeze and manipulate the clay to make a variety of objects.

According to Ursula Kolbe , " Clay work is just as important for young children as drawing or painting as it enables them to express , explore and communicate their feelings and ideas. Clay is fascinating to manipulate and has great potential for active exploration involving sight , touch and smell. It is an open- ended material with vast potential for encouraging creative and imaginative thinking.

In our photos you can observe the children's fascination for this medium and how it inspires   different images within each child.
