How we achieve this:


The Community

1.1To provide a high quality educational service which promotes the cultural values and lifestyles of the families within the community by practicing the diverse ways in which we live.


1.2A strong emphasis will be to facilitate relationships with our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families through learning about our first people’s history and culture incorporating modern and historic lifestyles. The Aboriginal Culture will be learnt through a variety of activities incorporated in all our learning.

The Children

2.1  To ensure that we develop safe, secure and respectful relationships with every child.

2.2  To provide a flexible holistic programme , allowing each child to develop at their own pace. This programme will be based on individual and group needs incorporating the Early Years Learning Framework. It will also reflect the principles, practices and standards of the National quality Framework.

2.3  To ensure the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing  of each child with  supportive staff and a nurturing environment.


The Programme

3.1 To implement learning strategies that reflects different learning styles. E.g.visual, auditory, sensory and kinesthetic.


The Family

4.1  To provide an early childhood education for your child that will include a non – sexist, multicultural ,anti-bias approach in guiding the child towards self- discipline and co-operation so that they can take their place in the community , respecting the values and attitudes of all people.

4.2  To consider the family’s needs and interests in the decision making process.


The Staff

5.1  To employ professional trained staff who will work together to provide a quality programme for all children based on the above philosophy.

5.2  To encourage the development of a positive and open interaction between the staff, family and community.

5.3  To work as a team to create a warm supportive environment for all staff, children and parents.

 

We adhere to the National Curriculum Guidelines as set out in the document: The Early Years Learning Framework for Australia: Being Belonging and Becoming.


We acknowledge the elders and ancestors of the Awabakal Nation along with the custodians of the lands on hich we live,visit and work.
